The Valaquenta

The Valaquenta is the Account of the Valar and the Maiar (who are similar to the monotheistic archangels and angels.)
Seven are Valar, and seven are Valier:
Manwë Súlimo, Varda Elentári;
Aulë Evi, Yavanna Kemetári;
Ulmo Earitar, Nienna Fëanturini;
Irmo Lórien, Estë, Vairë and Námo Mandos;
Oromë Tauron, Vána I Kemengoni;
Tulkas Astaldo, Nessa I Kemenari.
And ther's also Melkor (Later Morgoth), the Dark Lord, I Mortar Elengoth.

The Valaquenta describes also the Valar's features:
Manwë - Lord of the Winds, Varda - Queen of the Stars;
Aulë - the Maker, Yavanna - Queen of the Land;
Ulmo - Lord of the Seas, Nienna - Lady of the Spirits;
Irmo Lórien, Lord of Dream, and Estë the Gentle;
Vairë the Weaver, and Namo Mandos - the Doom-Maker;
Oromë - the Forests' Lord, Vana Ever-Young;
Tulkas the Strong, Nessa the Dancer;
And Melkor, he who arises in might, the Dark Lord and Elven-Foe.

In the Valaquenta also some of the Maiar are presented:

There are also other Maiar who are not mentioned in the Valaquenta, but are mentioned in other books:

In the Valaquenta the enemies are discussed also.
Of these we should mention Morgoth himself, and Sauron, his most faithful servant.
Other enemies were the Valaraukar, Vala-Demons, Balrogs in the Sindarin tongue.
The Balrogs were Maiaric Ainur, who were corrupted by Morgoth to his service. The mightiest among them was Gothmog.
Together with turning Maiaric Ainur into Balrogs, Morgoth corrupted also Middle-Earth Ainur, and Sauron was one of them. He also almost corrupted Ossë, but Uinen didn't let him to complete this.

Here I complete the description of the Valaquenta.
The next part is the Quenta Silmarillion - the History of the Simarils.
